Privacy, plainly stated

Your journey is yours.

This Privacy Policy explains what Nomad Travel App collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have over your information.

Effective October 28, 2026Operated by Logic Gate Software Solutions

Nomad is a social travel app for creating and following journeys, discovering places, sharing posts, saving recommendations, and connecting with other travelers. We use personal information to provide those services, keep the community safe, and improve the app. We do not sell personal information.

01

Information we collect

Information you provide. When you create or use a Nomad account, we may collect your name, username, email address, password credentials, profile photo, biography, phone number, address, date of birth, and other profile details you choose to provide.

You may also provide travel content such as posts, photos, videos, captions, journey dates, destinations, places, reviews, check-ins, bookmarks, collections, comments, follows, group or study-abroad membership details, feedback, support messages, and reports.

Sign-in information. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the account information that provider makes available to us, such as your name, email address, profile image, and provider account identifier. We do not receive your Google or Apple password.

Information collected automatically. We collect information needed to operate the service, including device and app information, IP address, browser or operating-system details, authentication tokens, log information, approximate location inferred from network information, and activity such as pages viewed, searches, likes, comments, shares, saves, follows, and feature interactions.

Location and contacts. If you grant permission, the mobile app may access location information to support place discovery, nearby results, check-ins, and travel features. If you choose contact synchronization, we use the contact information you select to help you find people you know. You can disable either permission in your device settings.

Cookies and similar technologies. The website may use cookies or local storage for authentication, preferences, security, and basic site operation. You can control cookies through your browser, although some features may not work correctly if they are disabled.

02

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Create and manage your account and profile
  • Provide feeds, journeys, place discovery, search, bookmarks, and social features
  • Display content and profile information according to your settings and the visibility you choose
  • Authenticate sign-ins and protect accounts, systems, and the community
  • Process reports, blocks, feedback, moderation, and support requests
  • Send service messages, security notices, and—where permitted—optional notifications
  • Understand usage, troubleshoot issues, and improve the app and website
  • Meet legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations
03

How we share information

With other Nomad users. Content you publish, including your username, profile information, journeys, posts, photos, reviews, comments, and other activity, may be visible to other users based on the visibility and privacy choices available in the app. Please do not post information you want to keep private.

With service providers. We may share information with vendors that help us host, secure, authenticate, analyze, deliver notifications, store media, provide customer support, or operate the app. These providers may use information only to perform services for us and must protect it appropriately.

With authentication and platform providers. If you use Google or Apple sign-in, those providers process information under their own privacy policies. We may also share limited technical information with infrastructure, analytics, crash-reporting, and app-distribution providers where necessary to operate the service.

For safety and legal reasons. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, respond to lawful requests, enforce our terms, investigate fraud or abuse, protect users and the public, or defend our rights.

Business transfers. If Nomad or a portion of its business is reorganized, financed, merged, acquired, or sold, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law and reasonable confidentiality protections.

04

Your choices and rights

You can review and update certain profile information in the app, choose what you publish, manage notifications, revoke location or contacts permissions from your device, and disconnect Google or Apple sign-in through the relevant provider.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

To request access, correction, deletion, or account closure, email reese@nomad.app from the email address associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained when required by law, needed for security, or necessary to resolve disputes.

05

Retention and security

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, maintain business records, and meet legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it, anonymize it, or securely isolate it according to our retention practices.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including access controls, authentication protections, encrypted connections, and monitoring designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong, unique password and contact us promptly if you believe your account is compromised.

06

Children's privacy

Nomad is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at reese@nomad.app. If we learn that we collected information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

07

International transfers

Nomad and the providers that support it may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection rules. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers and process information in accordance with applicable law.

08

Policy changes

We may update this Privacy Policy when the service, technology, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where required. Your continued use of Nomad after an update means the revised policy applies to your use of the service.
